Thanks Coach!

Hi there! We had a super fun pre-season soccer party today for my kids soccer team...And since we never had their end of season party last year, we combined the 2 and gave our amazing coaches their gifts. I was in charge of making the cards for them and love how simple and cute they came out!

I used a kraft cardbase (I love the big packs you can buy at Michaels!) and put some My Minds Eyes cardstock over it (opposite side is actually a Christmas print! LOL) I then cut out the grass with my explore and only adhered it in certain spots to keep the grass "flowy". My soccer ball, banner and sentiments all came from Jaded Blossom. I love how easy their dies and stamps are to work with! And of course, I use Close to my Heart ink for everything!

Design Day ~ It's a Girl Banner

Today is my day to post over at Connie Can Crop! I am sharing a banner I made for my sister in law's baby shower. I had so much fun doing everything for the shower since we finally have a girl in the family!! YAY! I used a burlap banner base and cut stencils out with my explore. I painted the letters and stars on with reg. paint (awesome samples from Valspar at Lowes!) and on the silver stars, I sprinkled glitter. I just love how it came out!

This wasn't supposed to be what I showed you-I bought a great box from CraftsuPrint (Connies sponsor this month!) but I haven't gotten it emailed to me yet. But stay tuned, I will be sharing that with everyone this weekend hopefully! Can't wait to put it all together :-)
this is the box I'll be putting together: Duo Champagne

"Winnie the Pooh, Winnie the Pooh,
A tubby, little cubby, all stuffed with fluff.
He's Winnie the Pooh, Winnie the Pooh.
A willy, nilly silly old bear."

Let's head on it to the Hundred Acre Woods and visit with this Silly Old Bear!

I'm going to be honest with you, I'm not a fan of Winnie The Pooh. I never was. So, this hop was sort of a challenge. for me. I'm not 100% thrilled with my card, but I also don't hate it. LOL So, here goes!

I found a free SVG of pooh and piglet online. I used pop dots to give them a little depth on the card. I found a cute quote from Winnie the Pooh that I used my explore to write on the card. Inside, I used one of my
Close to my Heart stamps for the sentiment.

 Up next is KIM

Monthly Challenge # 49 ~ Sketch Challenge

Its August already!!! And that means its time for another monthly challenge on Connie Can Crop's blog! The theme is a sketch challenge. I can't wait to see what you create!

Here is the sketch to follow:

And here is what I made:

I used a card base I had in my stash. I took washi tape and ran it through my big kick using a Jaded Blossom Die to get the flag look. I cut a small piece of white card stock (looking at it, I should have jazzed up the white!) and added a blue flower to it. The Thank You stamp is from Close to my Heart using their "For Every Occasions" set.
